Tried logging into SiteSeer just to do some free surfing & couldn't log in, went to the site forum & turns out they have closed, so good thing I didn't reupgrade. Latest update found here from Johnny says all 3 admins will be meeting today to discuss what to do.

Received a fake email from egold today to confirm my account. Never click on any email links, always go directly to the site and login. Better safe than sorry.

Iwon.com. Everyday they give away $10,000. When you visit you earn points towards entries into the daily drawing. You get a max of 100 credits. Credits are earned by clicking links or doing searches. You also get a free email address. There are also giveaways, a prize machine to spin, pick 7. I've been going there for years to read the news section. Prefer to search at google though. Several years I actually won the $10,000 daily drawing. It was really cool. Got a phone call. Was pretty skeptical it was for real, but they sent paperwork to fill out & get notarized. Sent it back & got a check for $10,000. At the end of the year they sent a tax form. I'd just built my house, so it came at a perfect time. I'm still amazed I won. Definitely a site worth checking out.

Today is surf n earn day at Solid Trust. I have a $5 upgrade there & earned about 25 cents for the month. Wow.

Storm Surf Traffic has changed over to a dedicated IP address. This site used to be an autosurf, but is now just a traffic exchange. You can be a free member and there is a manual surf and an autosurf. Free members can enter up to 5 sites. It's a good place for free credits. I also like to use the autosurf some times to keep my dial up connection from disconnecting.




Check out this site for generating leads. Free members can submit ads once a week. Submitted ads will be sent to a random 700 site members. Definitely use a secondary email address if you sign up or you'll get tons of spam. Probably the majority of the ads submitted end up in the trash without being opened, but you never know. It's free, so what the heck, try it.

The forum part of the MyRandomDownline network is now open for posting. It's really nice. I like it. A lot of familiar names, comfortable atmosphere. Discovered a couple of new blogs to read, Agent725 and The Muckle Blog At Many A Mickle. I used up the rest of my egold to upgrade in My Random Downline, so we'll see how it does.

You can now find all updates for TrickleDownCash at the safelist forum, as admin would rather post there than send email updates. Personally I prefer the email updates as I just don't make the time to go to forums.

The Ultimate Surf is raising the min upgrade to $5 and adding a 3% fee for AlertPay upgrades. "No other upgrade will have any fees, and there will be no fees for withdrawals."

As you can tell by the Amazon banners, I am an Amazon affiliate. Checked my account last night & I've made $14 so far. Not much, but it's something. Better than surfs and it's legit. It's also a site I use quite frequently, good variety, reasonable prices and free shipping over $25.When signing up, you do have to supply a tax id. I don't mind here though, as I know it's not a scam. There are several payment options, Amazon gift certificate, direct deposit or check. The first 2 options require a minimum balance of $10, the last requires $100. Payments are now going to be done monthly too. You can create links to specific products, banners, search boxes, or an astore. They now let you download videos too. Pretty cool.

Just read this in Prevention magazine, if you have a cell phone, add a contact entry with a couple of emergency phone numbers and name the entry ICE, which stands for In Case of Emergency. Apparently medical responders will look for this entry when there is an emergency.

Upgrades at TrickleDownCash are now manual. "once you have upgraded, please fill in the contact form stating your user id, and processor used. Please allow 24 hours for them to the added, before chasing, thank you." "New site is just around the corner now." Site is slow sometimes, so am looking forward to the new site.

ManicAds is done. Didn't join this one, so good thing. Things sure go bad fast in the surf world.

MyRandomDownline will be open for upgrades late tonight or early tomorrow, so be sure to check it out if you haven't already. A monitor site will be launching within the week. There is also another site in the works, no details on it yet though.

At My Random Downline, you can now add your referral links. Pretty cool. Seems to be a good variety of sites, personal sites, blogs, surfs, cash shopping etc. They will also be giving away $200 in cash and free memberships in February. Offical launch will be in a few days, Wednesday, January 31st. The forum is now open though.

Payouts at Surf7Daily for January will start February 1st & will span a few days. That day will also be a bonus day with roi set to 7%. Sounds like a good day to join, if not a member.

Admin of DanishAmericanSurf is in the hospital due to 2 blood clots in the lungs. Payouts won't be done until she gets home, a week or so. I'm not in her sites but hope she has a speedy recovery.

Last day to upgrade at BigDaddySurf using cash balance is February 3. Admin is committed to making payments, although there has been no real money upgrades in 3 weeks.

At the moment The Ultimate Surf is low on egold and would like to know if members using egold are willing to take payments to AP, STP or ebullion. Personally, I prefer egold as fees are lower than the other processors.

February 1 is surf n earn day at Solid Trust. Sounds like the stocks they have funds invested into are doing very well.

Site Enhancements, portfolio

Site Enhancements new site is up. It is now a profit sharing site, no daily ROI is available yet though. Gloria, the admin, is currently working on payouts to those not in profit. Gloria is an honest admin, so it might be worth a try. I don't have any egold at the moment though.

My sites are dwindling fast. I'm down to Profound Hits, which holds no hope of being paid. BigDaddySurf, payout here is probably slim. The Ultimate Surf, my only site with the possibilty of being paid soon, my upgrade expires the 30th. TrickleDownCash, which is switching servers, hopefully it goes smoothly. Surf7Daily, need $20 to cash out, so I won't be getting paid until next month, provided nothing goes wrong between now and then.
No word on what's happening with XLO, since Bob bought it. SlamDunkAdvertising, 2 pending payments, not much hope here. Surf2Prosperity has had a pending for months. I think Lee is doing selective payouts, so not much hope of getting mine. SiteSeer, I'm not sure if they are still paying. They have the 50/50 rule, so I'll need to upgrade in order to get any payments. Dimension Ads, not good news here either. Pretty bleak portfolio at the moment. Hopefully I can turn it around. Think I'm going to go over to GoBubble & see if I can earn some pocket gold doing some PTC's.

Another one bites the dust. Yup, Site Enhancements is closing. Those not in profit will be refunded and the site may reopen as a profit sharing site. I was surprised, but the site has been running for nine months, so I guess it was time. I think I was about $1 away from being in profit, so I guess it's not a big loss. I did like the fast payments here though. Oh well.

Admin of DanishAmericanSurf is opening up another site: http://www.cowgirlsurf.info/?ref=3. It is modeled after XLO. It "is an instant pay site and all profits from it will go to pay old membbers back". I won't be joining. Watch out for those instant pay sites, especially this one if profits are going to pay old DAS members.

Egold now has an animated turing number field. I don't really care for it. It's a little strange.

My Random Downline, DanishAmericanSurf, Synovate

My Random Downline will be screening sites added to its database & will not add sites known to be scams or linked to serial scammers. I think this is a good move. I don't like seeing sites promoted which I know have stopped paying or are scams to begin with. I've gotten sucked into a few myself, so I'm glad to know the sites I see being promoted within the My Random Dowline network will be legit sites. Launch will be soon, so if you're not signed up yet, be sure to check it out.

Admin of DanishAmericanSurf is still around according to the latest update. Apparently site will be moving to http://www.danishamericansurf.info as the host of current domain has been receiving alot of complaints about the site & has refused to renew or transfer it. I received a pending from the Old DAS, but still have one pending from the new DAS. I'm not interested in rejoining. Never chase old money, just move on.

One of the survey sites I am in, Synovate Global Opinion Panel, will be awarding points for every survey completed which can be redeemed for cash starting February 5th. I get lots of survey invitations from this site, but never complete them since you only get a sweepstakes entry. Points for cash will be much better.

My Random Downline, Wiflyer

My Random Downline should be launching in less than a week. That along with the monitor site and forum will be launched at the same time. In order to promote the forum, admins will be doing a couple of giveaways. For February, top 4 subscribed forum posters will get cash prizes. Free month subscription for March will go to anyone posting more than 150 posts on forum. They need to be posts with useful info, not just paid posts. I'm looking forward to the launch. Already save egold set aside for subscription.

Payment received from VivaSurf.us over the weekend. I'm out of this one. I was going to go back in with a $3 upgrade using AlertPay. With admin fees that would have turned out to cost 3.78. When paid out & after fees, there was hardly any profit so it's not worth my time. There have been reports of larger upgrades not being paid, so watch out for this one if you are in it or thinking about going in.

My Random Downline should be launching either late this week or early next week, so keep an eye out for the announcement. If you're not in it yet, check it out. It is free to join. This is just one of 3 sites. There will also be a monitor site and forum where your banners will be rotated. The monitor site should be the most honest one out there as only members will be voting. Received an email 24DailyPro will be relaunching. This is definitely a site to avoid. Admin Will is a scammer. I didn't lose anything in the original 24DailyPro. I got out just in time, but a lot of people didn't. Then he opened a private surf. I think the min upgrade was around $50. That turned scam as well, so stay away from 24DailyPro and anything else Will is involved in.

In pursuit of making my fortune online, yeah right, well, it's worth a try, I have started another blog. I'm a software engineer, so this one will be focused on my programming adventures, such as useful programming info, cool computer gadgets and anything else computer related I might think of. VivaSurf.us has dropped e-gold as a payment processor. Members that use E-Gold will have the option to use e-Bullion, Alertpay, and SolidTrustPay for their cashouts. E-gold is what I use. It's been around a long time and the fees are cheaper. As long as you choose a good password & keep your computer secure, you shouldn't have a problem with getting hacked. Just to be safe though, I get the money out as soon as I get it. If you do get hacked though, you're out of luck as e-gold offers no protection.

Profound Hits, My Random Downline, Treasure Trooper

According to the latest post in the members area of Profound Hits, chances of getting paid are pretty slim. Robert is going to try to keep making payments, but it will be difficult. You can either keep surfing in the hopes you might get some sort of payment or just delete your account. The site is closed anyways, so I guess I'm just going to keep surfing until my upgrade expires.




Don't forget to check out MyRandomDownline if you haven't already. Apparently a good variety of sites have been submitted. I'm anxious for it to get up and running, just to fully see how it's going to work. $6 a month, so it's worth a try.




Boy, there's really a lot to Treasure Trooper. There's cash back shopping, paid to signup offers(415 at the moment, and many are free), a trading hut where you can get free referrals, Amazon gift certificate, I forget what else. It's free to sign up. Payments are once a month but you need at least $20 in your account in order to be paid. If you sign up, don't forget to check out the forum to get the full scoop on the paid to sign up offers.

TrickleDownCash has decided to open a new site based on the feedback received. Keep an eye on the safelist forum for further info. At the current site, members can continue upgrading, but compounding won't be allowed. This site has been around over a year, so hopefully there is nothing to worry about and the opening of the new site will go smoothly.

SlamDunkAdvertising is still having financial problems, but Robert still wants to save the site & he has a 3 step plan:
1. No more requesting to compound.
2. For now, no more 50/50 rule & your account won't be deleted for being inactive.
3. Robert has other sites he is working with & will be opening a new one soon. No info on what that new site will be, but he'll post links on the main page.
I have 2 pendings here, so I probably won't be upgrading anymore.

If you're looking for some free stuff on the internet, check out this site. This is the best freebie site I've found. The set up is clear & if it's a step 2 offer, the admin tells you. I've gotten tons of stuff from this site. There are also contests listed. I've entered a few here & there, but never won anything. I guess if you don't enter, you don't win.

BlogToolKit, Dimension Ads, Wicked-Hits, EZ Surf ‘n Earn and WebHits Daily

Today I received the BlogToolKit I requested when signing up for ProjectPayDay. Just got it, so I'm anxious to take a look at it. Hopefully it contains some new info.

The admins of Dimension Ads, Wicked-Hits, EZ Surf ‘n Earn and WebHits Daily are having a problem. First, they are behind in payouts, which we know. Apparently, they lost money when several surfs cloed. They also sent some money to somebody to invest. That person has scammed them, so they will be suing him if the money is not returned. Fairpatton is also giving the admins problems. He is spreading lies about them and has had their admin accounts deleted from several surf sites (namely surf2prosperity.com and Dynamite surf). Notice those sites. The first one is Lee's site, the second is his supposed cousin's site. Interesting. How does Fairpatton manage to delete their accounts if he's not Lee. From all of Lee's emails he's always encouraging new signups, so it seems strange he would delete their accounts just because John wants him to. Maybe there is more to the story, but that John/Lee connection is fishy.
Anyways, I hope the admins get things back on track. They are some of the good ones and deserve support. They didn't sell out like Andy or run like Dave.

MyRandomDownline seems like it is doing well. You can now add up to 3 sites to your members area. Admin wants to start populating the database. I have to get going and add mine.
Spent the weekend doing some online shopping, clothes at old navy and a device which is supposed to share my internet connection with my laptop. I do most of my work at home using a company laptop, but use my desktop for email and the internet. Sometime's I'll download a file and need to use it on my laptop. I just use my thumb drive, but thought it would be nice to have a network to share files & my internet connection. I started researching it, but I'm just not a hardware person. Reading about routers, external modems, access points just gave me a headache. Then you have to tweak settings too. Sounded complicated. Then I came across the wiflyer. It's all that rolled into 1 device with a fast, easy setup. Sounds really cool. The reviews were all really good. $100 at www.wiflyer.com. It's been shipped, so we'll see. That's next weekends project.

MVPSurf's new site is up. Michael is trying to make it a non ponzi. There is a prepaid legal site, which he will be using funds from to pay members. Michael is a good admin, but I'm going to sit this one out.

John at 9planet has a comment about myspace I agree with. Back when the holiday giveaways were occurring, I downloaded a traffic generating document which discussed myspace. I have a person myspace account I use to talk with my sister and cousins. I did set up a fake account to use to get referrals, but I just couldn't get into it. MySpace is intended for personal use and making real friends. I don't want to pretend to be someone's "friend" just to get referrals. I prefer talking to someone without having a hidden agenda. You definitely have to be careful when using myspace, either trying to get friends or receiving friend requests. My personal account is always getting friend requests from people I don't know, and then the next day their profile is deleted. You just never know who you could be talking to or what their agenda might be.

Drunkonlife has more info on the saga between ASA and PTSPayPro. The gist of it is Jake is stepping down from ASA & handing the reigns to Butch, who's a moderator and PTSPayPro is a good site to avoid. Apparently Will from 24DP is part of PTSPayPro and had hoped to use it as a feeder site to revive 24DP.
Well, I learned the sites that make it to the top of the ASA list, always die not too long after they hit the top. I mainly use ASA to check out what sites are around, get an overview of how they are doing at the moment & to post payout updates. I really don't trust monitor sites. Too much politics.
PTSPayPro, I was never in, although, I was in 24DP. It was one of the few sites I got out of before dying. From the sounds of it, Will & anyone he is associated with, are good people to avoid.

At the top of the 10DollarsWonder login page is a banner advertising e2ePay, a new payment processor. Today I received a warning from the admin at Site Enhancements about e2ePay. Here's the update:

I think it was a few days ago I mentioned Project PayDay. You sign up & then have to fill out an offer in order to become a member. You will be refunded the s/h for the offer within 24 hours of sending the admin a contact refund request. I sent in my refund request & waited. No refund. So a day or two ago, I sent in another refund request. Received an email my refund was pending & should show up within 24 hours. Yup, today my refund showed up in my paypal account. Cool. Now I just have to call & cancel the offer I signed up for. I signed up for blogging for dollars, so I really hope it comes, since I never bookmarked the page to download the info, just the signup page which didn't have a login link.

Payment received from The Ultimate Surf. I re-upgraded for another cycle. Upgrades here are only $1, so after this cycle I may reupgrade with a very small amount for another cycle and then I'm getting out. My plan: no more upgrading until the site dies, get out while you're still ahead.

Payment received from VivaSurf.us. I reupgraded, but this may be my last cycle. I think I've been staying with a site & reupgrading for too long, that's why I'm losing too much. From now on, I'm only going to stay with a site for a couple of cycles, depending on the terms, and then I'm getting out. I do have a couple low ROI I'm going to stay with for a while. These high ROI sites though, I'm going in & getting out fast and I'm not joining anymore sites with a 50/50 rule. No more site loyalty. Loyalty doesn't get you too far in autosurfing. Look at Dave Cannard, touted as the most honest admin. All of a sudden he closes up shop. No refunds, nothing. Not even a word about the upgrades he took in the day before he closed shop. Yeah, he was real honest.

Solid Trust sites are switching servers, so if you try to access them & they don't load, that is why.

A new site I joined, but haven't upgraded in yet is Computer-Traffic. It's a brand new site run by the admin of MyCowboySurf and his son. 4%, 40 days, upgrades are $5, cashout weekly, no 50/50 rule. I think I will be upgrading as soon as I get some egold in my account. This site is recommended by Surf Bloodhound so it should be a good one.

XLO, SiteEnhancements, Drunk

It's official, XLO has been sold to Bob Krimm's TriStarMedia group and will reopen in a couple weeks. Bob is a big fan of the 50/50 rule, so that will probably be implemented. Instant payments, I doubt it. At the moment I don't have any egold to comply with the 50/50 rule. I may just cut my losses but we'll have to see how badly Bob changes the terms.

Payment received from Site Enhancements. This is a good site so far. Terms have changed concerning the bronze plan. Minimum upgrade was .25, but has now been changed to $2. For the better I think.

Leo at Drunkonlife will be announcing his new site this week, so stay tuned for that announcement.

XLO, TreasureTrooper

I guess the big news is XLO may be sold to TriStarMedia. Not sure this is the best of news. Bob already has a couple of surf sites along with a payment processor. Maybe he's trying to put a monopoly on the surf industry. Face it, no surf site lasts very long. XLO was one of the rare ones which lasted a little over a year. If Bob has this whole network of sites, when they go down, then what. It'll have a ripple effect on other surf sites, bringing them down. I will give Bob credit though. His sites have been around a while & he's still paying. Too late in the game for me to jump into any of them though. I prefer to just stay out, maybe I'm missing out, but I prefer to play it safe.

Just joined Treasure Trooper in the hopes of making some extra money. It's a site similar to Inbox Dollars. I suggest creating a separate email if you decide to join. Filling out offers tends to lead to a lot of spam.

I've had a pending for a while, so that's what I'm going to do. I give Nate a lot of credit. He's hanging in there & trying to make things work. He's not closing up shop & running.

I'm a member of TrafficSwarm, so I receive advertising emails, which I usually delete without reading. Well, got one today & for some reason I decided to read it. Actually was quite useful. Check out this site if interested. It does have an affiliate program, but I need to get a tax ID other than my SSN. When you sign up, you do have to sign up for an offer. The one I signed up for was around $3. Supposedly you will be refunded, if you send in a contact. Read the fine print though, you may need to cancel after a certain number of days. If you don't, you will be billed monthly. This site had some useful info on how to make money online, outside of the scam autosurfs/hyip. Part of what they talk about, I've used Inbox Dollars to do. It did work and they did pay me. I probably made a couple hundred doing it last year. Anyway, this site has lots of good ideas and info.

EzSurf-N-Earn will be giving all members 1500 free credits. They are also going to start posting updates using the sites news link rather than sending emails.

Well, the big news for today is XLO is closing for the month of January so Andy can focus on his hyip, which is closing. He's calling this putting the site into "holiday mode". XLO has been running for over a year and Andy has developed a reputation as being a good, honest admin. He didn't just disappear like Dave Cannard or Bo Anderson, so I guess the only thing to do is wait & see what happens at the end of January before passing judgement.

At least Andy is not like the admin of BlueHeavenMails. This was a site doing really good and was on my list of possible sites to upgrade in. All of a sudden the site disappeared. According to Jude's NoBS blog members received a taunting, catch me if you can email. Read it here. People like that, I honestly don't know how they can sleep at night.

Surf Bloodhound has a good post about John at Fairpatton and Lee at Surf2Prosperity. When I first started surfing, I turned to Fairpatton for info. Alot of sites I joined on his recommendation, most of those sites turned scam or closed. He highly recommends Surf2Prosperity. I have about $40 pending, alot for me. It's been pending for months and months. I don't really have much hope I'll ever get it. I've tried contacting Lee through the site, but no answer and I haven't dug around to find an email address. Why does John keep promoting Surf2Prosperity, a non paying site, except for maybe a few select members? Surf Bloodhound thinks John and Lee are the same person. It's a possibility. I suggest staying away from both of them.

Leo of Drunkonlife will be having a prelaunch sometime next week for some sort of site he has put together. He's not saying what it is other than it's not a surf/hyip site. It will have an affiliate program, so stay tuned for his announcement.

John at 9planet is also considering putting together a ponzi hyip. I may get in on that one for a round or two if he decides to launch it.

Ok. I've made my decision on which new autosurf site to upgrade in.
Surf7Daily. I've been a member of this site for quite some time, but have never upgraded or done anything with my account. This site has been in operation for over a year, consistently paying monthly. Upgrades are .70, 3% for 49 days, surf 49 sites. You do need to have a cash balance of $20 in order to cash out, but once a month compounding is available. The admin runs one other surf site & some other online sites. Definitely a trustworthy admin and a site worth trying. One thing to note, upgrades for egold are added manually, so allow up to 24 hours for your upgrade to show in your account. My upgrade was added very fast.

In case anyone actually reads this and you are a soap opera fan, I've set up a soap opera blog here. I'm a huge soap fan, been watching ever since I can remember. General Hospital is my favorite, but I also watch Days of Our Lives and One Life to Live. Since I got SoapNet, I've also been sucked into All My Children and The Young and the Restless. Those two I keep up on, but don't watch faithfully.

By the way my soap blog uses the new blogger. I like it. More templates & a gui for arranging elements. Not sure if it's as easy to edit the html directly. I tried to add a link to the layout, but I ended up using the gui as I kept getting an error.

DanishAmericanSurf has a refund list on the members page showing what is owed & what has been paid for the old DAS. Yup, I received a partial payment from Old DAS. Very surprising.

I went with a tracfone for my mother for Christmas. Now to figure out how to activate it. Tracfone & Net10 must both be pretty popular as both sites are down due to high traffic & maintenance.
Net10 Between the two, Net10 appears to be the better deal, but I don't expect my mother to use the phone that much, so I went with Tracfone. They have a really good camera phone deal going on.

Update from SlamDunkAdvertising says cash reserves are starting to pick up. I have two pendings, so I hope so. Robert is a good admin & I'm sure he will get things back in order. I've kept an eye on this site for a very long time. I didn't like the $15 minimum to cash out, but since the sight is still here & still paying, I decided to join. Paying autosurf sites which have been around a long time are very rare and the new autosurf sites popping up need to prove themselves before I will join. This one should be a good pick.

Another good paying site with longevity is XLO. Today is it's 1 year anniversary. Very rare for surf sites. Payouts here can be done daily & are instantaneous. It is also 2% for 75 days, autosurf 7 sites, upgrades are $5. You also get a free $5 when you join & upgrade. Netzen has a post of an interview with the admin, Andy.

SiteSeer will be changing terms after the new year. Payouts will be on the 5th and 20th. You will be paid whatever is in your account balance. You will only be required to surf 15 sites rather than 25 and the timer has been changed to 15 seconds. Percentages paid will also change to 3% with ad packs lasting 45 days. This drops the ROI from 1.67 to .78. These changes supposedly are for the longevity of the site. Changing terms such as this usually indicates a cash flow problem. I'll probably stick with it for a little bit longer and see what happens as admins are good.

You never know who might click on it.

Received a shocking email from DanishAmericanSurf. The site opened, closed after having problems & restarted, then suddenly decided to become a traffic exchange only, no autosurf. No mention made of payouts. The email I received yesterday, stated the admin will start making payouts for all money owed from the first & second sites. Not just doing refunds or paying people not in profit, but paying everyone, everything owed to them. First you will receive a partial payment and after you post you've received it, you will get the rest of your payment. I do believe the admin will do as she says, as her honesty was why I joined the site in the first place.

12by12Daily raised the maximum upgrade a few days back. Many people saw this as a red flag & pulled out, putting the site in trouble. Note, the site was not in trouble before this occurred. Raising the maximum upgrade was not a red flag. Well, now that the site is in trouble, Dave is implementing the 50/50 rule. What this means is you now have to have an active upgrade which is 50% of your payout. I don't mind this rule, if I know the site has an honest admin & it will help the site hang on a bit longer. Cashouts for 1st Dimension Ads happen tomorrow. Actually, being in all 4 dimension sites isn't so bad now that the initial round is over. Since it takes a week to get paid, you really only need to surf 60 sites a day, not the 80 required in the first round. You also get paid every week, so that's nice.

I have a war file which contains thumbnail images & the fullsize images for 3 different sets of data. Before I added the third data set, the war file was manageable as far as emailing goes. Adding the image files for the third set, makes the war file ~27 mb. The image files are gifs. Anyone have ideas as to how to make the war file smaller? Am I even going about it the right way by storing both thumbnail & fullsize versions? I've tried just storing thumbnails & using scaling when I need a fullsize version, but there's just too much distortion. Just storing fullsize images & scaling to get the thumbnails doesn't work right either. Some of the scaled thumbnails seem like they load too fast & a line ends up being a square. The gif's were created from jpeg's. Anyone know of a converter that has a high level of compression with very little distortion? I currently use Irfan View. The third data set started out as svg, which I converted to jpeg using batik.

Mrsvee has exposed Bob, the admin of 15HitsDaily, TreoSurf as having gone bankrupt. Not a big deal in general, but shows a person may not be good with money. Probably not a good quality for an admin. Apparently Bob is pretty upset with Mrsvee & has said things a responsible admin should not be saying. I'm not in his sites & don't plan on joining.

EzSurf-N-Earn marks it's 5th month anniversary today. Special anniversary plans are in the works. They are also holding a conference call tomorrow. If anyone is interested in getting in on it, post a comment & I'll send the info.

Anyone catch General Hospital today? Anniversary of Stone's death today. Showed a few flashbacks that were nice to see. Stone is one of my favorite GH characters. His story was a landmark AIDS storyline for soaps.

Spent the day getting php, apache & phpmyadmin working with mysql. Pain in the butt, but finally got it going. Pretty cool stuff, but I'm having a problem importing a csv file into a table. It's a foreign key error and so far I haven't found any information on how to fix it. I found a work around, for the moment.

The General Hospital Luke & Laura specials were great! 4 hours of old shows from the early 80's. Brings back lots of memories. So good to see Ruby, Rose & Joe Kelly, Jesse Brewer, Steve Hardy, the Baldwins, Tiffany, Amy, Rick & Lesley, young Audrey, Bobbie, Noah, Luke, Laura & Robert, Monica, Alan, the old Edward and of course Lila. There seems to be a bit of a commotion in the forums & blogs about Dave raising the maximum upgrade at 12by12Daily. Vincent Teoh, the guy who wrote The Referral Magnet & who supposedly does the best DD, sees the maximum upgrade being raised as a red flag. I completely disagree. Dave has responded saying the site is not having problems. Dave is the best, most honest admin. If there were problems, he would be upfront about it. Don't hesitate to signup or reupgrade at 12by12Daily.

12 days of Christmas

Saw an interesting post on this blog. Apparently top marketing guru Mark Hendricks has gathered products of his & of various top internet marketers he knows to give away for free as part of a 12 days of Christmas package. Starting December 1st, there will be tons of software, internet marketing tips & tricks, etc to download. It looks like a really good opportunity to learn some new internet marketing techniques. I'm interested as that's what I've been looking into lately. I don't have extra money to buy books, etc, so I'm looking for free advice. The 12 days of Christmas is just what I've been looking for. MVPSurf, GlobalWaveTraffic closing

Bad news for 2 sites today: MVPSurf and GlobalWaveTraffic are both closing, due to hackers. GlobalWaveTraffic has lost at least $2400 in upgrades going to a hackers egold account. Both sites will be issuing refunds.

At the moment, the Dimension sites all appear to be down.

Hackers neeed to get a life.

GlobalWaveTraffic has turned off upgrades for a few days. Upgrades are missing & some accounts are wrong. Admin needs a few days to talk to other admins and get things straightened out. Probably nothing to worry about.

Not sure if these actually work, but they're worth a shot. The past few days, my website seems to be down quite a bit. I think the web host is doing server upgrades, but I'm not positive about that. Just keep trying, if the site is down. So far, it has been down no longer than an hour at a time.

By the way, FileZilla didn't work out as well as I thought it was going to. The download completed, but for some reason the file wasn't on the ftp site. I have no idea what happened. I ended up creating a lycos mail account & emailing the file there. Lycos mail is cool! Mailbox size is 3gb and there is no limit on email attachment sizes. Lycos seems to be doing a lot in order to compete with other sites, such as Yahoo. Besides great mail, you can create a website, blog or planet. Not sure what the planet is all about. Check it out.

Fiddled with getting source control program Subversion set up. Seemed to go well, after looking to the web for help. Subversion is supposedly an improved version of CVS. I've never used CVS, so I don't know. Subversion is open source and free for download.

Latest update from The Ultimate Surf says payouts are going well. I have an upgrade expiring tomorrow, so we'll see how quick payments are. This is a site which has been around a while. Apparently it had problems & is now trying to turn things around. Payouts for old pendings are being made along with new pendings. The admin is communicative & appears to be honest. This site is Mrsvee recommended, so I decided to give it a try.

SlamDunkAdvertising egold payments are taking a bit longer than usual, as Robert is waiting for some egold to come in. A few terms have also changed: payouts will automaticall occur 7 days after your upgrade expires, you need to be upgraded to receive payment & free members no longer receive referral commissions. This may be a red flag, so proceed with some caution. Robert is also the admin of Profound Hits, which has been around for a long time. Until the stormpay scandal, he was paying regularly. Robert is very honest and is here for the long haul. The change in terms should help the site.

Spent part of the day trying to get an 8 meg file ftpd. What a pain in the butt with dial up. I use Netzero's Highspeed 3G. I installed Cablenut and what a difference that made autosurfing. Simply amazing. Anyways, I tried using firefox's ftp plug in, got to 54% complete & my internet connection died. Restarted. Retried ftping a few times, but just couldn't get very far. I downloaded an application called FileZilla. It supports resume on uploads and after tweaking the timeout settings, I'm at 47%, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it finishes. By the way, FileZilla is free. I really think some of the best software is free. OpenOffice, free & is awesome. Seems to do most everything Microsoft Office products do and doesn't cost hundreds of dollars. I'll probably never buy another computer with Microsoft Office products now that I've discovered OpenOffice.

If you have dial up internet & are always getting kicked off, you might want to try signing up at this site: Storm Surf Traffic. It's a completely free autosurf. I downloaded an application which was supposed to keep my internet connection from disconnecting. All it did though, was randomly visit various websites, which is exactly what autosurfing does. Since keeping Storm Surf Traffic running, my connection has become more stable. It's definitely not foolproof, but I think it does help, so give Storm Surf Traffic a try if you are having trouble maintaining a stable dial up connection.

Also received payment for a survey I completed from MyView, formerly SurveyDirect. I've been paid several times from them. Lately, I've been having trouble connecting to the actual survey once the initial questions have been answered. It may be my dial up connection, but I don't know.

Latest update from 12by12Daily says things are going very well. Referral commissions are being paid and a subject pull down menu has been added to the contact form. They are planning on holding a contest in which the winner will receive 5 new downline members. Now's the time to get in, if you're not already.

MVPSurf would like members to make sure they vote after being paid. The site seems to be struggling a bit after being hacked. I like this admin. He appears very honest and has my full support.MVPSurf is a manual surf with returns of 10% after 15 days. After the hacking, this site reopened with a new script. My upgrade was
never carried over & I kept getting kicked out whenever I tried to look at the history or upgrade. I gave Michael some time to recover from the hacking & finally sent him an email about the upgrade & getting kicked out. He gave me a $15 upgrade (my upgrade was only $5) & he gave me tips on logging in. Michael has my full support. He is definitely one of the better admins.
The third installment of the dimension sites starts this Thursday, so keep an eye out if you're interested.

An update from AutoSurfTrust doesn't sound very encouraging. Returns for this month were 2.1%. Next month they will only be investing in their network of sites. AutoSurfTrust is a site which does the surfing for you. They invest your money into other surf sites, which members help vote on. The following month you get paid a percentage of what they made. Nice concept, but it doesn't appear to be working very well.

Let's keep an eye on this one: Beast Invest. The admin disappeared after the StormPay incident. He's now back & trying to get the site back in order. This is a very old site & the admin, Roger, seemed to be very trustworthy. His last update says he has lots of news on the way, so we'll see.

Received payment today from 12by12Daily. Definitely a good site to be in at the moment.

2nd Dimension Ads is open for upgrades today only. According to The Zen's Den they haven't reached 500 members yet, so they are still taking new members, get in now.

Site Enhancements has added a new paid to sign up for a 10 cent bonus. After signing up, the paid to signup site will give you $1 for every member you refer. The site is also free to join. This paid to sign up appears to be a document about online marketing by marketing big fish Mike Filsaime. It's free & you get paid $1 for each referral, so take a look. Sounds like a very good read if you are serious about earning money doing online marketing.
Site Enhancements seems to be a good site to take a chance on with small upgrades. There are several different plans to choose from. You also get banner impressions and PTC with your upgrade package, so lots of good advertising here. Site Enhancements also has a good PTC section with a small paid to signup section. I haven't done any DD on Site Enhancements, but with all the advertising opportunities, the admin must be serious about the site. Daily cashouts are .01 minimum, so you have a good chance of getting your initial upgrade back, which helps minimize the risk.

I received payment from GlobalWaveTraffic yesterday.

Today is the last chance to sign up for 2nd Dimension Ads. Upgrades start at $1 and returns are 6% for 22 days. These are honest admins who aren't going to run off with your money. This is a real chance to earn some extra money, so it's definitely worth taking a look.
