17SurfPro, new blog

Updates from 17SurfPro can now be found at the RPAssociatesUK.com blog. I'm waiting for payment and will post when I get it.
I started another blog: Ice Princess's Recipes. I like to cook and bake, so the blog is a collection of all the recipes I like. Stop by and check it out.
Since google's pagerank drop, my blogs are in need of more traffic, so that is where I am going to focus my attention for the next week. Will post any useful tips I find.
The first directory I'm submitting to is http://www.allthewebsites.org. Site submission is free.

Coupon Chief

I am a big online shopper. That's how I did the majority of my Christmas shopping. You can usually find better deals, no tax and/or free shipping. If you are going to shop online, you should check around for coupon codes. There are many sites devoted to listing coupon codes for online shopping sites. One coupon code site is Coupon Chief. Coupons are listed by store or by category. You can also search for a specific store's coupons. One nice feature of the site is it lists which offers were recently added.
A few of my favorite stores are Old Navy, Amazon.com, The Popcorn Factory and Walmart.

17SurfPro, SolidTrustPay

Here are a couple of updates I thought are worth posting:
First is from PsTraffic about SolidTrustPay:

Dear Members,

Yesterday, at 2:00pm EST the STPay site began to experience an unusual slow down Our tech team thought it was a server issue, so began to check resources and do updates. We re-installed and upgraded the main server areas, but the issue continued. At 3:00am EST our webhost determined that a massive DDOS attack was suspected and preventative measures brought to full readiness. At 2:00pm EST today the largest DDOS attack that our webhost (RackForce) has ever seen was launched against SolidTrust Pay. It began in Indonesia but is now centred out of Bucharest, Hungary. Via various proxy servers, attacks are coming from other areas most likely by a large network of interconnected computers. Our webhost has blocked all access to the site until the attack can be stopped. The attack is so huge that it has affected the Shaw cable main trunk line (an ISP provider serving all of Western Canada).

As soon as we have determined that the attacks are completely blocked, we will open up access to the site again. We are working around the clock with RackForce and Shaw Cable to bring this attack to an end. ALL member accounts are completely safe. We ask for your patience and understanding while we deal with this onslaught of hatred against us. All major companies come under such attacks....we have been fortunate in avoiding a DDOS thus far and this one will be severely dealt with.

Any merchants needing assistance or any members with questions are welcome to use the following email addresses for communication. We do ask that only truly necessary emails be sent. You are also welcome to pass this message along.

solidtrustpay@xplornet.com (xplornet is our ISP internet provider)
solidtrust@xplornet.com
support@solidtrust.info

Regards,

SolidTrust Pay Support"

Second is a 17SurfPro update:

Hi Everyone!

PLEASE READ – I set out to keep it brief but there was a lot to say!

It has always been my intention for 17SurfPro to be a long-term program, and that is still true today. The money paid into the program for upgrades has been used to ensure the long-term viability of the business. I see the current problem with making payments very much as a short-term issue and this is why I remain very confident about the future.

Compounding pending payments has helped to manage the situation but the time is coming when compounding would have served its purpose and so I plan to end the compounding offer on 31 January. There are a number of compounding requests from yesterday that have not been actioned yet – they will done today so please do not email me with a duplicate requests.

The top priority task of course is to bridge the gap between the short-term payment situation and the long-term by clearing the backlog of payments. I can understand that from your point of view as a member, and with the experience (that I also have had) of programs running into problems and everyone losing their money, that when a program has a problem that you are reluctant to upgrade any further. This reluctance has meant that during recent days the amount of new money coming into 17SurfPro has virtually come to a halt.

I obviously cannot expect you to put money into 17SurfPro unless I do so myself, and this is what I have been arranging to do. Because of my confidence in the future of 17SurfPro I am borrowing a substantial sum of money in order to get the program up and running again. The main funds from this will be available in about seven days time, although some smaller amounts will start arriving earlier. In fact some will be available later today and I will be able to make some payments. It is my intention to pay the oldest pending payments first.

To help get things moving even faster I am asking if you would consider the following offer which I make no pretence about – it is aimed at generating cash to help our short-term objectives of clearing the backlog of payments.

I reserve the right to withdraw this offer at anytime and it will be reviewed on a daily basis.

The offer is this:

Upgrade with new money – this means compounded earnings are not included - and depending on the value of the upgrade you will receive free upgrade units. The minimum value of upgrade to qualify is $100.

Upgrade between $100 and $240 and receive 1 free upgrade unit (value $10).

Upgrade between $250 and $490 and receive 2 free upgrade units (value $20)

Upgrade between $500 and $990 receive 3 free upgrade units (value ($30)

Upgrades of $1,000 or more receive 5 free upgrade units (value $50)

The free upgrades will be added on the day after the one that you paid for the upgrades and will be based on the total amount you paid that day. For example, if you upgrade by $100 using egold, $100 using AlertPay and $100 using SolidTrustPay in the same day, then the following day you will receive 2 free upgrades ($20) because you paid in $300 in total. There are no limits to the number of upgrades you can make, for example, if you upgrade by $100 every day then every day while the offer lasts you will receive one free upgrade unit.

If you are at the maximum upgrade level of $3570.00, or close to it, and would like to take advantage of this offer then please email me and I am sure we can find a solution that will suit you.

I realise that a minimum of $100 will be too large an amount for some members to consider but I am afraid that below this amount the scheme is not viable.

… and finally, during the past six weeks I have had to take my wife to hospital every day for radiotherapy treatment. This has taken on average about three hours (sometime more) out of my working day and has contributed towards the backlog of emails and other tasks. The good news is that she only has two more sessions, today and tomorrow, and so after the coming weekend I will have more time available to work both on 17SurfPro and on my other programs that generate income for 17SurfPro.com.

Sorry about the length of this ‘brief’ email but I thought it was important that you are up-to-date with the situation. Please consider the upgrade offer!

Best regards

Bob Peters
http://17SurfPro.com

17SurfPro has been paying for over a year, which is very rare for an autosurf, so I say support Bob.

ClixSense

I've been a free member of ClixSense for quite a while now. I've been paid several times, but it takes a while to reach the minimum payout of $10 if you are a free member. If you check in a couple of times a day, you reach the payout a little quicker. Since I'm in profit, I decided to upgrade to a premium member. That was a good idea. I have 506 ads to click on. It's going to take a while to get through all of those, but at least every time I log in I'll have ads to click on. The majority of ads are 1 cent but there were a few for 4, 3, and 2 cents. As a free member I've seen 5 and 10 cent ads. ClixSense is definitely worth the $10 membership fee, which is good for 1 year. If you actively click on the ads, you can make the $10 back in no time.

Cheaperthanhotels

Portugal is diverse , has a unique culture, with vibrant cities and spectacular scenery throughout the country. Although it was once one of the poorest countries in Western Europe, since the introduction of Democracy in 1974, and incorporation into the European Union in 1986, it has significantly increased it’s prosperity. It may be one of the best value destinations in Europe because the country offers outstanding landscape diversity, due to its North-South disposition along the western shore of the Iberian peninsula which is adjacent to Spain. In one day you can be in the green mountains of the North, with vines and all varieties of trees to the central rocky mountains, with spectacular slopes and waterfalls, to a near-desert and arid landscape of the Alentejo region and then to the vibrant beach vacation destination of Algarve. The climate, combined with investments in the tourism infrastructure in recent years, has also turned the country into a major haven. Golf is superb in Portugal. 14 of Portugal's golf courses are rated in the top 100 best in Europe. If you want a compact view of Europe, culture, landscape and way of life, Portugal might be the one.
Cheaperthanhotels has great deals with fantastic facilities. Check out these links for sample destinations:

ConstructionSkills - employment training

Making money online not working out? Looking for an offline job? How about the construction industry? There is a website based in the UK called ConstructionSkills which offers construction employment training.
Construction is the UK's biggest industry. There are 700 different types of jobs with around 2 million construction workers and there is always a demand for more workers.
For employers, taking on an apprentice helps benefit the business by developing new talent while still getting work done.
For a person with little experience, becoming an apprentice lets you earn while working and learning new skills.
An experienced person can prove and enhance their skills by gaining a qualification and CSS card through On-Site Assessment and Training (OSAT) or Experience Worker Practical Assessment (EWPA). By the way, you need a CSS card in order to work construction in the UK. If you don't have a card, many sites won't let you work. 2010 is the goal for the UK to have a fully qualified workforce, so no card, no work.
There are many different providers who offer construction related training. There is even a National Construction College.
If you are in the UK and looking for a new line of work, construction might be worth looking into.

17SurfPro, PsTraffic, Smorty, blogs

Hope everyone had a nice holiday & new year. Am glad it's over and am ready to start a fresh year.
Finally reupgraded at 17SurfPro and received payment. I'm not sure how much I'm going to get back into autosurf's this year. I'll probably keep an eye on them and join if one strikes me, but I'm mainly just going to stick with 17SurfPro and try to focus on my other blogs more, especially my parenting blog now that I have a new baby, who is doing very well. Cute & cuddly. Growing too fast already though.
PsTraffic has relaunched. I haven't checked it out yet though. Jamie issues refunds when the site dies, so I will most likely add joining to my to do list.
Paid blogging at Smorty is still going well. Offers slowed down over the holidays, but had a new offer last week, so hopefully that will start to pick up. Paid blogging is a really nice way to make a little extra money. I already have a nice little amount saved to put towards next year's christmas club.
The google pagerank drop seems to have affected all of my blogs except for my tech tips blog which has a pagerank of 2. Strange part is I haven't updated that one since November. The rest I post at more often. My blogs still show up in google search results though, so that's good. Guess being found is what's important.
I finished making a first pass of adding magazine back issues at my main site. Paypal add to cart buttons have been added, so if you see an issue you would like to order, just click the add button and the checkout will take you to paypal to send payment. I have back issues of TV Guide, Soap Opera Digest and Playgirl. I still have a lot more Soap Opera Digests and recent issues of TV Guide and Playgirl to add. Got a little bit behind the past two months.
I plan to post on one of my blogs each day, so feel free to check them out.

my new man

My new son arrived this past Saturday. I woke up around 5:30 from a dream where my water had broken and discovered it really had broken. 9 hours later he was born just under 7 lbs. So far so good. He's a very cute little man. Am very relieved he came on his own and I didn't have to have an induction. Am also glad he made it to full term.
Am looking forward to having the next couple of months off from work. Hopefully I can concentrate on making some extra money as 6 weeks of my time off will be unpaid. Will be reupgrading at 17SurfPro as that seems to be the only autosurf worth putting money in at the moment.

update 11/29/07

Just a quick update. I have a week at the most left before #2 arrives. I am scheduled for an induction next Thursday due to the gestational diabetes I have. Monday I was 2cm dilated and 50% effaced, so I'm hoping he shows up before then. From what I've read, inductions are rough. Will just be glad to get him here safely.

There doesn't appear to be any autosurfs worth joining at the moment other than 17SurfPro which just turned 1 year old. A big accomplishment for an autosurf.

PSTraffic is closing until after the holidays when it will be restarting. They've also issued refunds, which I received.

Easy2earn is still a safe bet. All it takes is $1.00 of egold and promotion. No scam admin to deal with and yes you do get paid. I have been paid several times.

I'm also still doing well with Smorty & have even received a few offers from Blogsvertise.
Apparently Google has been targeting paid blog posts done for PayPerPost and are reducing blog page ranks, so careful adding paid blog tags to posts and adding PayPerPost tags on posts for "hire me" or "review me".

Savebuckets.com price comparison

So, Christmas is fast approaching. If you live in the UK, you might want to check out a website called Savebuckets.com. It is a price comparison website. You can search categories such as electronics, games, computer hardware, home & garden, clothing, and sport & leisure. One item I am looking to buy for Christmas is a digital camera. I did a search for the model I am interested in, Canon A560, and came up with a nice list of stores to choose from.

One nice site feature is if you do a search and the minimum price is over your budget, you can enter your email address and the maximum amount you are willing to pay. Then when Savebuckets.com updates their prices, they will send you an email if the product is at or below your maximum price. Your price submittal will expire after two weeks, which you can then renew if you want to.
Savebuckets.com is a nice site to check out if you are doing any online shopping.

Dyson vacuum cleaners and parts

Looking for a new vacuum cleaner for yourself or someone else? Then you might want to check out the Dyson vacuum cleaners and parts website. They have a large line of Dyson vacuum cleaners. Upright vacuum cleaners include the original Root Cyclone upright, Telescope Reach, Dyson Slim and The Ball. With each model, you either get a free car cleaning kit or a free carpet cleaning kit. Cylinder models include Stowaway and Motorhead. There are also handheld models. These include Issey Miyake exclusive and animal.
If you are not sure which vacuum cleaner model to choose, you can fill out a very short survey which will pick the best vacuum cleaner model based on your answers.
Have a Dyson vacuum cleaner, but need parts or accessories? The Dyson website can help with that too. After selecting your vacuum cleaner model, you are presented with a list of parts and accessories available for the chosen model.
A special options section lists available offers if you buy a certain model.
The Dyson website also includes a nice support section which gives information on getting help with your Dyson vacuum cleaner, information on buying parts and accessories, registering your Dyson, guarantee information and delivery details.
If you are in the market for a new Dyson vacuum cleaner or need parts for a currently owned Dyson vacuum cleaner, this is a good website to check out.

Mac Poker Online

Online gambling is pretty popular these days. I didn't realize this, but players who prefer Macintosh's over PC's are constrained by the sites they can play at. Here's a site which lists recommeded online poker and casino sites for Mac poker players. It looks like a very well put together, informative website. Tons of information. Not only does it rate online poker sites, but it gives information on how to play poker and poker strategy tips.
There are also articles discussing whether online poker is legal and information on making sure your computer has spyware and adware. There is a discussion on the differences between the two and recommended free applications.
Other resources on the site include a list of sites you can use to deposit money in order to start playing online poker, since PayPal doesn't allow you to use them for online poker playing. It is a pretty comprehensive list.
If you play at online casinos, you might want to take a look at the online casino bonuses page. There is a list of online casinos, the bonus amount, percentage, refer a friend amount, code/link and site review.
The site offers a free Mac Poker newsletter which offers news, tips and tricks about Mac Poker.
Mac Poker Online is definitely a site worth checking out if you are a Mac user who enjoys online poker and online casinos.

Paid to blog: LinkyLoveArmy

Here's another get paid to blog site: LinkyLoveArmy. Payments for each assignment, called missions, are based on your site's google pagerank. Payments are usually made by PayPal within 7 days of submitting your permalink. Blogs must be written in fluent English.
There are several types of assignments. Here's a rundown from the site's FAQ:

Blog Buzz Assignments - We Pay you to write an article and include 1 - 3 links with specific keywords. (Pays Net 7)
Hybrid Assignments - This is a mix between a Blog Buzz Assignment and a B2C affiliate assignment. We pay you to place an affiliate link in your article up front. You then receive commissions if the affiliate link converts. A second or third link of linkylove is typically required.
B2C Assignments - You write an article and include banner ads. If one of your readers completes the lead process, you receive a commission. (Pays Net 30 after $50 balance is achieved)
B2B Assignments - You might write an article or offer a free white paper. If someone signs up to accept the white paper, you receive a commission. (note this type of assignment has the slowest payment terms Net 60 after the close of the month.)
P2P - Paid to Promote or Paid to Promote Publishers. This is rapidly becoming one of our most popular product types for advertisers and bloggers. We try to promote articles more than static web pages. Sometimes those articles that we promtoe are our own bloggers that have been paid to write an exceptional article even!

There is also a referral program which pays you a commission based on how much the referral makes blogging at LinkyLoveArmy.

One thing to note is blogs hosted at WordPress are not accepted. Blogger is ok though.

You do have to login into the site to view your missions.

Amazon.com - Black Friday deals

So less than a week and it's the official start of the holiday shopping season. The day you can get the best deals. It's not just stores offering sales anymore. Now internet stores are getting in on the action. I just received an email from Amazon.com. Apparently they are having a big Black Friday sale which will have hourly deals from 6am to 6pm PST and limited time sales. I'm looking forward to seeing what they have to offer, since I have a bunch of stuff to order from them as soon as the prices drop low enough & the items have free shipping.

Another paid blogging site

So I got bored and updated my blog design. A while back blogger changed it's templates to make it easier to add and change elements. To do that, I would have lost most of the links on the right side, so I held off doing it since I haven't had the time. Still on bedrest, so had some extra time today. Have had contractions off & on all week & am at 36 weeks, so #2 should be here soon. The doctors aren't letting me go past my due date, which is 4 weeks from today, so I have at the most 4 more weeks.
BTW, congrats to Drunkonlife on the birth of his daughter.

Have just been doing paid to blog offers at Smorty and clicking away at ClixSense.
I did some searching for other paid to blog sites, but have had no offers from any other sites so far.
One site I joined is Dewitts Media. Apparently paid to blog offers are sent to your email address. There is not a website to login into. I signed up a week ago & so far have not received any offers. No tax info is required to sign up & there is a referral program where you receive $20 to PayPal when a referral makes an advertising purchase. There is a lot to the site. I haven't looked into it very much though.

I am surprised: This blog has now reached a Google page rank of 3. Cool.:)
